The season is changing.  I'm ready to settle into crisp air and scarves. I've been drinking apple cider by the gallon and I am pleased as punch to be able to wear my boots again.

There is something so magical about the season's clicking into place, isn't there?

Tonight is the first cold night of the season. I find warmth snuggled under a blanket. Whiskey, aka my precious angel, is chewing on a rawhide bone on the floor. The quiet gnawing sound is so soothing. I love it when she keeps me company.

As I transition into the new season, I find myself devouring new music. We've been particularly blessed recently by the pop gods and goddesses with new albums from Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry, with the promise of a new album from #LivingLegend Britney Spears in December. I love pop- I breathe pop- but there is something about this time of year that makes me introspective ... reflective. I need something with a little more meat and a little less sugar.

I realized today that my college bff Maggie and I have been friends for ten years. Jesus Christ, TEN YEARS? Has it REALLY BEEN ten years since I moved to the top floor of Lafollette at Ball State University?

My, how time flies.

I'm so scared of getting older, I'm only good at being young.

Good thing I plan on being forever young.
